The competion!

My heart felt heavy.
It was hard for me to breath.
My fingers were shivering.

"Here." Daniel said, giving me gum.

"Thank you, gum makes me calm down.Chocolate makes me nervous" I told him.

I could tell he was nervous.

We were next.

"You look beautiful." Rodger complimented me after they did my make-up.

"Up next, from the busy state of New York, SHINING STARS!" The host announced.

The duet was first.

"Good luck" Rodger said. Pressing his lips against my forehead.

Me and Daniel went upstage.

We got into positions with the background dancers.

I held his hand and took a deep breath.

The pulled the long navy curtains up and cued the music.

"Suddenly, My choice is clear. I knew only when you and I were standing here." I sang
"And beautiful, is all I see." Daniel sang.
" It's only you I know it's true. It has to be." We sang together.

I sang the rest of the song, calm and confident.

I looked at the crowd.

A blonde girl was holding a "GO BELLA" poster.
A redheaded girl next to her had a "SHINING STARS" poster.
And a burnette-ish girl cheering.


I looked harder. They seemed like Bethie, Gracelynne, and Ruthie.

I smiled harder and my duet finished.

Then was Miranda with her solo, it was AMAZING.

We sang Telephone together.

Then the other school went. They were... really good.

I got really nervous.

"Now if you may, all schools in stage please."

We held hands.

I tightly held Miranda's and Rodger's.

I was so nervous.

I felt sick, really sick.

"The votes are in! Okay.... In third place, NOT going to the finals.... Perfect melody!!"

The group broke down.
They left the stage.

"Now, in first place... SHINING STARS! !" The host said.

My heart lifted from the ground.

Everyone was so happy.

So happy, that Rodger kissed me again.

This time I didn't hesitate.

I hugged Daniel so hard he said that his guts just exploded.

The crowd was pretty happy too.

The curtains went down and we headed backstage.

"I'm sorry I pushed you guys to much. I was a little over the edge there." Ms.Terry apologized.
"A little?" Laura said.
"Okay, a lot. But the point is, you guys were AMAZING. Now, to the after party!!!" Ms.Terry said.

"Ms.Terry, do you think you have space for 3 more?" I asked.

"Sure!" She said heading towards the door.

I ran down the stage.

I looked around. The crowd was huge.

"BETHIE!" I yelled. She was at the door.

I ran to her.

"Nice to meet you, Bella." I introduced myself to Gracelynne and Ruthie.

I noticed Sal was there too.

" Hi Sal." I greeted him.

"Do you guys want to go the after party?" I asked.
